I’m gonna be pretty honest – winter is has not been my favourite, and I’m pretty sure I’m not alone in that sentiment.
The days are shorter and colder, you need at least 3 layers in order to not be cold, and my toes fight a constant battle to stay warm. But then there are the fluffy blankets, the warming soups, delicious hot chocolates, and movie nights in. Since reading The Little Book of Hygge, I’ve come to appreciate this special season for what it can be – cosy.
Now, I know having ice cream might not scream cosy at first, but for me it really is, especially when shared on a girl’s night in with your besties.
Wrap up in warm, fluffy blankets, wear your favourite old pyjamas that remind you of a hug, light some candles, and grab some spoons. Share some Booja Booja ice cream and paint your nails, talk until you can’t talk anymore, and just connect.
It’s so important to me to just be able to hang out with my friends.
Having spent so much time travelling and away from those who know me best, it really makes you appreciate how important it is to have that group of people you know and trust – and trust enough to share ice cream with, especially when the ice cream in question is from Booja Booja!
I was lucky enough to try the new Booja Booja ice creams, which are all vegan, gluten free, and refined sugar free and I loved them so much. The Caramel Pecan Praline was my absolute favourite, and it reminded me a little bit of the Ben & Jerry’s Cookie dough. That tub was the first to go.
For our nails we used the gorgeous Nailberry, whose nail polishes are free from Formaldehyde, Toluene, DBP, Camphor, Ethanol while also being vegan and cruelty free. It was a night of wellness and love that felt indulging and replenishing. Wouldn’t give it up for the world!
