Turmeric Latte

Ingredients
  • 250ml (1 cup) brown rice milk
  • 3 liquorice tea bags
  • 1 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 1 2.5cm (1 inch) piece of ginger, grated
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla powder or vanilla extract
  • Pinch black pepper
  • Sprinkling of chia seeds and cacao powder, to top
Instructions
To make it hot
  1. Place all of the ingredients, except the chia seeds and cacao, into a small saucepan and heat on low without bringing to a boil, whisking to get everything well incorporated.
  2. Once it’s nice and hot, carefully remove and discard the tea bags and pour the latte into a mug. Sprinkle some cacao powder, cinnamon and ginger, if desired, and the chia seeds.
To make it iced
  1. Place all of the ingredients, except the chia seeds, into a small saucepan and heat on low without bringing to a boil, whisking to get everything well incorporated.
  2. Once it’s nice and hot, carefully remove the tea bags, let cool for a few minutes and carefully pour the liquid into a blender with some ice.
  3. Serve in a glass with a sprinkle an extra of cinnamon and ginger, if desired, and the chia seeds.
